Rainy day = Lazy Day

Slept in until almost 9 today. Paisley woke me up because she wanted to go outside. I took her on a walk. Five minutes into our walk and it starts dumping rain, I forgot a rain jacket. I was far away from the boat and started running as fast as I could to get to shelter. Paisley and I were completely soaked.

Tom fixed us a delicious breakfast. Blueberry pancakes and hot sausage. It’s been raining all day. We haven’t really done much. I finally cleaned the disaster caused by the boat keeling over. The galley and my room were a scattered mess from the incident. I folded some laundry and relaxed in the cock pit.

A sail boat pulled in had an interesting winter themed name, they were from Park City, Utah. I was so excited to see someone else from my home turf sailing as well. I get home sick sometimes. I miss my friends from church and my work out buddies. I put my foul weather gear on and walked over to where they were docked. It was a pretty far walk.

We did absolutely nothing for the rest of the day. I walked Paisley around outside in my foul weather gear and that’s it. I made us clam chowder and ham sandwiches. We are relaxing in the galley. It’s been nice having a day to do absolutely nothing.

We like this Marina and think we are going to stay tomorrow as well. The rain from the tropical storm is supposed to clear up and we are going to get some work done on the boat.

  1. When you do that it’s call a lay day. And they are cherished and valuable.
