Addison point to Wassabo bridge anchorage

Woke up at 7:30 am and pulled the anchor up. It’s a lot warmer today and was very pleasant. I was at the helm a lot today. It was fun.

There were a bunch of dolphins swimming right next to the boat with us. We averaged about 8 knots today. The current was in our favor a lot today. We went 56 miles today. We are about seven miles outside of Vero beach and probably could have made it today. We didn’t want to risk navigating at night.

Tom made a reservation at the Vero Beach Marina for tomorrow. We have to get a mooring ball because apparently they are booked for slips. I made chili and rice for dinner.

We are renting a car tomorrow and headed back to St Augustine to pick Tom’s car up. After that we are driving to Orlando and staying at a hotel to catch a flight to Virginia on Monday. It will nice to be home for Christmas. I’m excited to see my husband and dogs.

It sure appears that the voyage will end successfully. This would not have happened without you being onboard and keeping Captain Tom in the correct body of water and on course. You should be rewarded with badges and patches for your work. Most people will never do something like this, it will be a lifelong memory.

Tom Hanks as Captain Tom for sure, still negotiating for your role. Do think there is at least a book in there somewhere. Have a nice trip back to VA.
