Port Royal SC to Wright river anchorage

I slept in this morning until around 8:30. It got so cold last night that we had to start the space heater. Paisley refused to sleep on her berth and insisted on sleeping by my feet.

We rode our bikes to the grocery store about half a mile away. It was so nice getting some exercise. I joke that if I was a dog I would be a Siberian husky, because of how active I need to be in order to stay sane. Haha! We got stocked up on things to provision the boat. It was interesting on the way back. We put the grocery bags on the bike handles. My beach cruiser has a basket that came in handy today.

We left the marina around noon today, a little later than we planned. It was good to get some things done. The current was in our favor the majority of the day. We saw a beautiful light house outside of Hilton Head. While I was at the helm, I saw a dolphin fully breach out of the water. There was someone parasailing today. There was plenty of wind today.

We arrived at Wright river (turtle island) anchorage around 4 o clock today. It’s really pretty. There was another really pretty sunset this evening. I cooked chicken and dumplings with rice for dinner. We are planning on going 50-60 miles tomorrow. We only did around 33 miles today, but we had a late start.
