The new Candi

Bob is ready to go! He left today for his flight down to Florida to help Tom sail the boat back up to Virginia. As much as I wanted to go on another sailing adventure, work has started picking up again for Rich and I. We had a farewell sailing

Home for Christmas

We made it home safely yesterday. Rich picked us up from the airport. The dogs were all very excited to see us. It’s good to be home for Christmas and spend the holidays together.

Vero Beach

Slept in today. I’ve decided Tom and I have a nickname. It’s “run aground Sue”. We got stuck in our anchorage and were so firmly on the ground we had to have towboat us tow us out. The guy knew exactly what to do and apparently he frequently has to

Addison point to Wassabo bridge anchorage

Woke up at 7:30 am and pulled the anchor up. It’s a lot warmer today and was very pleasant. I was at the helm a lot today. It was fun. There were a bunch of dolphins swimming right next to the boat with us. We averaged about 8 knots today.

Tom picked me up from the Orlando airport last night. We got into the marina around 9 pm. I was exhausted. When we woke up in the morning Tom’s Garmin gps decided to stop working. We tried fixing it for about an hour and nothing worked. Tom was really mad

Heading back to Florida

It’s been a very relaxing week or so in Kilmarnock. It’s been really nice spending time with Rich and the dogs. I’ve gotten lots of much needed rest. Tom drove back to St Augustine a couple days ago to fix the boat. Rich and I put up the Christmas Tree

Made it home safely

Rich got in last night at 11pm. He was exhausted and we went to bed. Nobu and Juneau both slept next to me on my berth. We woke up around 8 and hit the road. When we got to the gas station the car started making crazy motorcycle sounds. We

To a wonderful woman

It’s been one year since Joanne passed away. She was the best mother in law anyone could ask for. She was hilarious, witty and so fun to be around. We were all shocked when she passed. None of us were expecting it. She is deeply missed. I will never forget

St Augustine Marine Center

We tried pulling the anchor up and leaving the anchorage. The steering was still not working. Tom tried working with it for a couple hours and we decided to call Towboat US. He needs a new part for the steering. We had to wait for a tow for a couple
