Slept in today. I’ve decided Tom and I have a nickname. It’s “run aground Sue”. We got stuck in our anchorage and were so firmly on the ground we had to have towboat us tow us out. The guy knew exactly what to do and apparently he frequently has to pull boats off of the uncharted sandbar we were on.

We got to Vero Beach City marina today. I saw a really gorgeous lizard. He was begging for food. I wish I had some lettuce to give him.

We left the marina and took an Uber to get a rental car. Once we got the car we drove to St Augustine to get Tom’s jag. We both drove to Orlando and checked into the Hyatt by the airport.
We fly out tomorrow afternoon. It feels good to accomplish what we set out to do. It’s crazy to think we travelled almost 1000 miles on boat. I’m proud of us and how hard we worked to get to Vero beach. I think Joanne would be very proud.

Congratulations! We will look forward to seeing you back here on the Bay.

That is a brown-headed black people eater and you were lucky to survive, or not. Those tow boats along the coastal must make a fortune this time of year and they probably also create the sandbars for business purposes. Job well done mates!!

Congratulations. Quite a victory. I’ll be sure not to tell everyone at the club of Captain Rowland’s new nickname. RUN AGROUND SUE. You gotta love it.

Haha! They probably do make a fortune! I wouldn’t be surprised if they created the sandbars to create more business 😂
