We are still in Chesapeake. Tom worked all day yesterday to get the high pressure pump off of the engine. I cooked Clam Linguini for dinner last night. It was delicious. The stove on the boat works great and it was nice to have a hot meal.
This morning Tom woke up early to drop off the pump at a mechanic to get repaired. We don’t have an estimate on how long it will take him to repair the pump, but hopefully it goes quickly and smoothly. Rich drove down from Kilmarnock today with the dogs. It’s so good to see them. Tom and Rich had to move the boat to a different dock so we could get shore power. The employees at the Top Rack Marina were so nice and helped us.
We are still unsure of when we can get the boat up and running again. There is a huge storm that is bringing high winds and thunderstorms. I believe it’s from the remnants of Hurricane Zeta. Rich booked a hotel in Chesapeake for the night. Tom and Rich are currently at the Marina preparing the boat for the storm.
