We’re off!

Tom and I left Kilmarnock, Virginia at 7 am this morning. The fog was very thick and it was hard to see when we first got into the Chesapeake bay, but it cleared up. I was scared and worried at first because we couldn’t see anything. I realized after about an hour I forgot quite a few things that I’m not too happy about forgetting… Like my pillow. 😭I threw a hissy fit for an hour or so and got over it.

Today was pretty eventful. I did my singing lesson on FaceTime downstairs in the main cabin. We saw a couple different pods of Dolphins. I tried so hard to get pictures, but they were too fast for me. It was cloudy today, but pleasant. We saw an aircraft carrier and that was cool to see. We are anchored in Norfolk, Virginia. I fixed us a ham and cheese sandwich for dinner, we got into Norfolk a little later than expected or I would have actually cooked something. Tomorrow we plan to head towards Coin Jock, North Carolina. I am pretty exhausted today. I am not a morning person at all and it’s been an adjustment getting used to waking up early.

I miss my hubby and three doggos already

Rich stayed home and is watching our three dogs, I miss them already. Tom brought Paisley the Dalmatian, she is frightened and still hasn’t used the bathroom since 7 am. She is probably going crap all over Tom’s cabin tonight, but hopefully not.

Hospital point anchorage. Norfolk VA
